Social Media FTW is the brain child of Rich Brooks, Chrystie Corns & Jaica Kinsman. As well-known speakers and early adopters of social media, the three saw a need for more social media education for small business owners, professional marketers and enterprise level executives. The Social Media FTW group aims to bring industry leading Social Media speakers, networking events and educational classes to Northern New England.

The 2nd annual Social Media FTW Fall Conference will include sessions taught by industry leaders in social media, blogging, podcasting, branding, internet marketing and so much more. Who Is Social Media FTW?

Rich Brooks is founder and president of flyte new media, a Web design and Internet marketing firm in Portland, Maine. His monthly flyte log email newsletter and company blog focus on Web marketing topics such as search engine optimization, blogs, social media, email marketing, and building Web sites that sell. He is currently an Expert Blogger at FastCompany.com and guest blogger at SocialMediaExaminer.com.

He teaches a Web marketing course for entrepreneurs at the University of Southern Maine’s Center for Continuing Education. He is also the “tech guru” on WCSH Channel 6’s evening news show, 207, and has been repeatedly interviewed by the Channel 6 news team for technology reports.

Chrystie Corns is the President & Chief Marketing Strategist for Thirteen Thirty Marketing (www.thirteenthirty.com) a Portland, Maine – based internet marketing & social media consultancy. As president of Thirteen Thirty, Chrystie, uses her professional experience in the areas of Search Engine Optimization, Social Marketing, and Branding to implement marketing strategies for small businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs. Chrystie is also head blogger for I Love To Gossip.

Jaica Kinsman is a user experience architect fascinated by the social web. Her company J Kinsman Studios focuses on user-centric solutions and interactive media experiences that spark conversation, increase brand awareness and drive traffic. Kinsman is a graduate of Bowdoin College and resides in Portland, ME. Jaica is responsible for internet marketing and community engagement for the Guiding Stars Licensing Company.
